Franklin County Sheriff's office honors therapy dog Mattis K9, Ohio's first law enforcement therapy dog, who was euthanized due to end-stage liver failure. The Labrador retriever, born in 2017, provided comfort to crime victims, first responders, and community members. Mattis and his handler, Deputy Darrah Metz, worked tirelessly together during their time on duty.
