The government demands to know the parameters used in the research, which placed Cross River as number one in child labour with 67.4%. State Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, insists that Cross River is one of the most "child-friendly" states in Nigeria, having domesticated the Child Rights Law and working with the UN.
