Congress questioned PM Modi and Nitish Kumar over the demand for special status for Bihar, after the JD(U) passed a resolution reiterating this demand at their national executive meeting. JD(U), a key ally of the BJP in Bihar and at the Centre, is pushing for a "special status" or "special package" for the state to boost its development. The JD(U) also elected Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha as their working president.
