Alibaba Cloud to close data centers in Australia and India, focusing on Southeast Asia and Mexico.
Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group Holding, plans to shutter its data centers in Australia and India as part of an infrastructure strategy update, focusing investments on Southeast Asia and Mexico. Data center services in India will halt after July 15, while operations in Australia will cease by September 30. Customers have been advised to move their businesses to data centers in Singapore and other locations.
