27-year-old Shannon Driver was sentenced to 17 years in prison for violently shaking her partner's 18-month-old son, Jaxon Syrett, to death in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. Driver will serve 12 years in prison for manslaughter, with an additional five years on extended licence. She had previously threatened to throw a child from a window. Jaxon suffered significant non-accidental injuries and died six days later after being placed on life support.
