20-year-old Lucy Atkins, a Cardiff University student, was tragically killed alongside her dog Simba in Quinton on June 24, after being hit by a car on West Boulevard. Lucy had completed her first year at university and her family described her as a "force of nature" and a "fabulous daughter". The driver remained at the scene and is assisting the police with their investigation. West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
