A US Air Force veteran, Paul J. Freeman, has been charged with unauthorized possession and transmission of classified national defense information. Freeman allegedly disclosed classified information related to US military aircraft and weapon systems to unauthorized individuals between November 2020 and March 2021. If convicted, Freeman faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison for each of the nine counts in the indictment.
