A tractor-trailer fire on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia caused a stretch of the highway to close on Friday morning, leading to heavy traffic between Exit 26 for the Betsy Ross Bridge and Exit 23 for Girard Avenue. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of burn injuries. All lanes on I-95 northbound and the shoulder of I-95 southbound have reopened, but PennDOT and authorities are still working on cleanup efforts.
