Theodore Roosevelt's favorite pocket watch, stolen in 1987 from a mansion in Buffalo, has been recovered and returned to his former home on Long Island. The watch, given to Roosevelt by his sister in 1898, accompanied him during his presidency, the Spanish-American War, and various expeditions. The FBI and National Park Service worked together to recover the stolen artifact after it was identified at a Florida auction house in 2023.
