4,000 sq ft house fire in Birchwood displaces eight residents; cause under investigation.

A house fire in the Birchwood area on Thursday morning destroyed a 4,000 square foot home, displacing eight residents. The fire was reported at around 7:30 am and firefighters had it under control by 8:40 am. The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family, which includes five adults and three children.
