A man in his 20s was arrested in Limerick after a loaded firearm was seized by gardaí on a routine patrol. The suspect abandoned an electric bicycle and fled the scene, attempting to discard a bag containing the weapon. He is currently detained under the Offences Against the State Act 1939, with further analysis of the seized firearm to be conducted by the Garda Ballistics Unit.
