Nokia acquires Infinera, a US optical telecom equipment maker, for $2.3B in a cash-and-stock deal.

Nokia has agreed to acquire Infinera, a US-based optical telecommunications equipment maker, in a deal valued at $2.3 billion. The cash-and-stock transaction values Infinera at $6.65 per share, a 37% premium to its trailing 180-day average share price. At least 70% of the deal will be paid in cash, with the rest consisting of Nokia's American depositary shares.
