MIT researchers develop millimeter-wave MIMO receiver with nonreciprocal phase shifter, reducing interference and improving signal quality in mobile devices.

MIT researchers developed a millimeter-wave MIMO wireless receiver architecture with a nonreciprocal phase shifter that targets and cancels unwanted signals. This new architecture can block up to four times more interference than similar devices and has energy-saving components that can be switched on/off. The technology may improve signal quality in mobile phones, enhancing Zoom calls and video streaming.
