2 men in Mpumalanga received 3 life sentences for participating in a 2019 murder & robbery spree, killing 3 people. Tumi Joseph Vuma, 35, and Fikson Seakga Hine, 31, were convicted of murder, kidnapping, robbery, unlawful firearm possession, and ammunition possession. The third group member, Zweli Lukhele, pleaded guilty and testified against them, receiving a 35-year sentence in February 2023.
