Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister grants Indian citizenship to first three CAA applicants from Pakistan, Bangladesh.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav granted Indian citizenship certificates to the first three applicants under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the state. Two of the applicants were from Pakistan and one was from Bangladesh. The state government welcomed the migrants and assured they would be allowed to live in Madhya Pradesh. This marks the first time Indian citizenship certificates have been issued under the CAA in the state.
