Kentucky State University (KSU) received a $7 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for its largest federal grant in history, to drive agricultural technology (ag tech) focusing on workforce development, STEM, and agriculture across Kentucky. The funds will expand KSU's research into soil-less agriculture, partnering with inner-city students on hydroponics and aquaponics. KSU President Koffi Akakpo views this as a historic announcement for the university.
