Inflation in Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo, rose to 1.7% in June from 0.9% in May, according to the Department of Census and Statistics. Food prices increased to 1.4% from 0%, and non-food prices rose to 1.8% from 1.3%. The national inflation rate decreased to 1.6% in May from 2.7% in April, having reached 69.8% during the country's economic crisis in September 2022.
