The California High-Speed Rail Authority awarded a joint venture of SYSTRA | TYPSA a $131.2M contract to design track & overhead electrical systems for the state's first 171-mile passenger rail service between Merced and Bakersfield. The project involves designing the track system, overhead contact systems, and managing technical & non-technical interfaces with contractors/consultants, with the aim of bringing high-speed rail service to California as soon as possible.
