The police targeted ex-chief executive officer Miguel Gutierrez and director Anna Saicali, who have allegedly fled the country, with Interpol alerts issued for their arrest. The operation also involved 15 search and seizure orders for former employees. Americanas filed for bankruptcy last year due to a massive accounting fraud.
