Bharti Airtel raises mobile plan prices, effective 3 July, following Reliance Jio.
India's second-largest telecom company, Bharti Airtel, announced a price increase on its mobile plans, effective July 3, following a similar move by market leader Reliance Jio. The price hike will increase the cost of Bharti's most basic plans by less than a rupee a day, aiming to maintain a mobile Average Revenue per User (ARPU) of at least ₹300, ensuring the company stays financially healthy and can continue to invest in better network technology and spectrum.
