Belfast Zoo retires two elephants, Yhetto and Dhunja, to Royal Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands.
Belfast Zoo is holding farewell events for its two oldest elephants, Yhetto and Dhunja, who are retiring to Royal Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem, Netherlands. The elephants will join two other elderly female elephants as part of the Elephant European Endangered Species Programme (EEP) and will be ferry-transported in specially designed crates, accompanied by the zoo's veterinary team.
