Australian households and small businesses receive electricity bill relief due to the country's largest energy crisis in 50 years.

Australian electricity costs rose significantly due to the country's largest energy crisis in 50 years, but bill relief measures, lower energy usage, and cheaper solar power have helped mitigate the impact. From July 1, all Australian households will receive a $300 credit applied to their electricity bills in quarterly instalments, and around one million small businesses will receive $325 off their bills over the 2024/25 financial year. The ACCC will continue to monitor retailers' costs and prices to ensure substantial and sustained cost reductions are shared with households and small businesses.
