Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will reopen its Dallas-Fort Worth locations this summer, following the abrupt closure of five local theaters in the area. The Austin-based cinema chain will now own and operate the local theaters after acquiring them from a bankrupt franchisee. Alamo Drafthouse CEO Michael Kustermann expressed excitement to reestablish the brand for local film communities.
