35-year-old Pomona man Juan Manuel Morales Jr. was arrested for allegedly killing his father in Long Beach; officers used force to apprehend him.
35-year-old Pomona man Juan Manuel Morales Jr. was arrested for allegedly killing his father, 59-year-old Juan Morales, in Long Beach. Officers responded to a trespassing call, attempted to deescalate, but were forced to use pepper spray, less-lethal rounds, and electrical weapons to apprehend Morales Jr. He was then taken to the Long Beach City Jail on suspicion of murder and two outstanding warrants.
