63-year-old Calvin Jay May was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler on Interstate 77 in Iredell County, North Carolina. The incident occurred at 1:15 a.m. when May, wearing dark clothing, was walking on the highway near Exit 36. The road was not lit and May was hit by the tractor-trailer. No charges will be filed and speed and impairment were not considered contributing factors.
