A 13-year-old bridge in Kishanganj, Bihar collapsed due to floodwaters triggered by heavy rainfall, cutting off 40,000 people from the mainland. This is the fourth bridge collapse in Bihar within a week. The 70-meter-long and 12-meter-wide bridge, built in 2011, caved in due to one of its pillars not withstanding the strong current. No casualties have been reported, and traffic has been stopped.
