The Washington Wizards have traded forward Deni Avdija to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Malcolm Brogdon, the No. 14 pick in Wednesday's draft, a 2029 first-round pick, and two second-round picks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Trail Blazers used the No. 14 pick to select Pittsburgh guard Bub Carrington, who will join the Wizards via the trade. Avdija, a 23-year-old wing, posted career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks last season and finished sixth in the voting for Most Improved Player. The Wizards will have three first-round picks in Wednesday's draft, including picks 2 and 26.
