The Vancouver Canucks have traded Ilya Mikheyev to the Chicago Blackhawks in a deal that clears significant cap space for the Canucks. The trade includes Mikheyev, the signing rights to Sam Lafferty, and a second-round pick going to the Blackhawks in exchange for a fourth-round pick. The Canucks will retain 15% of Mikheyev's salary. Mikheyev, who had a no-trade clause, waived it to accept the deal to Chicago.
