USDA seeks public input for voluntary climate-smart farming standards in biofuel feedstock crops.

The USDA is seeking public input on quantifying, reporting, and verifying the impact of climate-smart farming practices on greenhouse gas emissions associated with US-grown biofuel feedstock crops. This request for information aims to establish voluntary standards for biofuel feedstocks produced using practices that mitigate GHG emissions and/or sequester soil carbon, with the goal of further incentivizing climate-smart biofuel feedstock crops in international, national, or state clean transportation fuel policies.
