ULA's Vulcan rocket certification flight, initially set for Sierra Space's Dream Chaser, will instead carry a dummy payload in September due to Sierra Space's delay. ULA aims to certify Vulcan for sensitive satellite launches for the US Defense Department by completing two successful national security missions before year-end. The Vulcan rocket is also contracted for Amazon's internet satellite launches and requires two successful missions for Space Force certification.
