A tractor-trailer leaking anhydrous ammonia at Mount Vernon Mills in Trion, Georgia led to evacuations and road closures. The Trion Fire Department, Chattanooga Fire Department Hazmat 1, Special Operations Division, and Hamilton County Hazmat Team responded, and the leak was contained by 12:15 am. Affected residents were offered shelter at Trion First Baptist Church and the town's recreation center.
