South Carolina Ports Authority and the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) have agreed to a framework for reopening the Hugh Leatherman Terminal in North Charleston, SC. The agreement, approved by the SC Ports Board of Directors, will provide long-term stability and competitiveness for the Port of Charleston. The terminal, which opened in March 2021, had been idle for over a year due to staffing disputes between the ILA and the Ports Authority.
