2022-2023 school attacks in Mozambique decreased, but military use of schools increased, according to a Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack report. Six incidents of school damage or destruction were identified, with non-state armed groups responsible. GCPEA recorded 12 cases of schools being used for military purposes during the period, up from none in the previous reporting period.
