Currys, an electrical retailer, predicts AI-powered gadgets will drive another year of profit growth, following a 10% rise in 2023-24. The company, which sells fridges, washing machines, and televisions, expects AI technology to be the "most exciting new product cycle" since tablets in 2010. Currys' trading performance in the early part of the new financial year has been in line with expectations, with adjusted pre-tax profit increasing from £107m to £118m.
