Torrential rains in Chile have revived reservoirs and lagoons that were severely depleted during a prolonged drought, replenishing water supplies for industries like mining, agriculture, and tourism. The Aculeo Lagoon, which became a symbol of the crisis with its cracked surface and dead livestock and fish, has significantly refilled. The recent rains caused damage to houses, but the water has also helped revive other lagoons such as Lake Peñuelas.
