Azerbaijan will host World Environment Day 2026 as announced by the UNEP Chief, Inger Andersen, during her official visit to Baku. This global event will take place on June 5, 2026, and will focus on climate change. Azerbaijan has been actively addressing the triple planetary crisis, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution/waste, and is currently hosting COP29.
