American Electric Power (AEP) has appointed Bill Fehrman as its new CEO, effective August 1. Fehrman, 63, has extensive experience in the energy sector, previously serving as president and CEO of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Energy Co. and Centuri Holdings, an infrastructure services business. Fehrman will succeed Julie Sloat, who was fired in February after 14 months at the helm.
