Actor Anthony Mackie swam with sharks in the Gulf of Mexico for National Geographic special.
Marvel star Anthony Mackie, known for his role as Captain America, participated in a National Geographic special called "Shark Beach with Anthony Mackie" where he swam with sharks in the Gulf of Mexico. Mackie, a certified scuba diver for almost two decades, previously swam with various types of sharks in South Africa, Mexico, and Cape Town. The special aims to highlight the increase of sharks near his New Orleans home, which has led to aggressive behavior as they swarm boats and eat fishermen's catches.
