Abia State Government plans to pay salary arrears owed to workers in the state civil service in tranches, says Commissioner for Finance Mike Akpara. The government inherited a N16.5 billion debt in salary arrears from the previous administration for state-owned institutions of learning. The present administration aims to clear these arrears and sustain advancements in other sectors of the economy.
