A woman in Topeka, Kansas, accused of killing her 9-year-old son has died. Shyla M. Goracke, 29, was taken into custody after deputies discovered the boy, Zerick I. Ozuna, suffering from multiple wounds to the chest and neck inside their home on June 20. Goracke was transported to a hospital, where she later died. The cause of her death and the results of an autopsy on Zerick are not yet available.
