Former British Columbia Premier and Canada's Ambassador to Germany, John Horgan, has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer for the third time. The 64-year-old politician, who served as B.C. 's premier from 2017 to 2022, has taken an indefinite leave from his duties to undergo treatment in Berlin. Horgan was previously diagnosed with throat cancer in 2021 and bladder cancer in 2008, both of which he recovered from.
