24 June, a 72-year-old Beaverton woman was seriously injured after being hit by a westbound van while crossing Cascade Avenue at North Spruce Street in Sisters. The driver, Todd Beckwith, failed to yield to the pedestrian, who was accompanied by her husband who carried an orange pedestrian safety flag. The woman was flown to St. Charles Medical Center with serious injuries. Beckwith was later cited.
