Vineyard Wind 1, a joint venture between Avangrid and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, has become the largest operating offshore wind farm in the US, delivering over 136MW of electricity to the grid in Massachusetts. The project, consisting of 62 wind turbines, has 10 currently operational, providing enough energy to power 64,000 homes and businesses. Once completed, it will generate enough electricity for 400,000 homes and businesses in the region.
