Vatican faces trial in London over £186m Harrods warehouse sale, accused of fraud and misrepresentation.

The Vatican is facing a trial in London over a £186m ($235m) sale of a former Harrods warehouse, part of a 2018 deal involving a £350m ($374m) investment in the property. The Holy See stands accused of fraud and misrepresentation by former banker Raffaele Mincione, who is countersuing the Vatican's secretariat of state for reputational damage following its investigation into the deal. This is the first time the Vatican has faced trial in a foreign court.
