New research suggests that increasing the number of women in venture capital does not necessarily result in more funding for female-led businesses. Despite advocates' claims that more female senior venture capitalists would lead to increased funding, data analyzed from over 150 U.S.-based VC firms showed no correlation. With only 1 in 4 VC funds allocated to woman-led companies, the gender gap in venture capital remains a challenge.
