Swiss National Bank Vice President Martin Schlegel will succeed Thomas Jordan as SNB's Chairman on October 1. Schlegel, a 20-year veteran of the bank, was the preferred choice of Jordan. Petra Tschudin, currently an alternate policymaker, will join the Governing Board as the third member, making her the second female interest-rate setter in SNB history. Antoine Martin will succeed Schlegel as vice president.
