South Korean actors Gang Dong-won and Teo Yoo have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) alongside 485 other artists and experts. Since "Parasite" director Bong Joon-ho and lead actor Song Kang-ho's 2015 AMPAS membership, Korean film professionals have consistently joined the organization. If accepted, the actors will gain voting rights for the Academy Awards.
