Sudden storms in southwestern Switzerland caused severe flooding in the lakeside town of Morges, inundating downtown streets with floodwater and disrupting transport networks. Over 50 flights at Geneva's airport were cancelled, and the air navigation service provider SkyGuide's Geneva offices were flooded, causing a temporary shutdown. The French border town of Auberson received 113 mm of rain in two hours, marking the third-highest precipitation recorded since 1981.
