Pembina Pipeline Corp. and the Haisla First Nation are moving forward with their proposed US$4-billion Cedar LNG project, set to construct a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility near Kitimat, BC. This project, which utilizes natural gas from Western Canada for export to Asian markets, will be majority-owned by the Haisla Nation in partnership with Pembina Pipeline Corp., making it the largest Indigenous-owned infrastructure project in Canada. The project is expected to be in service in late 2028.
