Newly-inaugurated KZN Premier, Thamsanqa Ntuli, has committed to rebuilding areas affected by devastating storms and implementing measures to mitigate future impacts. During an oversight visit to uThongathi, Ntuli evaluated the government's relief interventions and assessed the effectiveness of aid supplies distribution. The storms left a trail of destruction across six district municipalities of KwaZulu-Natal, with estimated costs of over R1.3 billion.
